How it works

Whether you need to dig ditches or drill holes, shape banks or move dirt, hiring a digger has never been easier. 

1️⃣ Select equipment and dates

Browse the available products and choose what works for you. Use the date picker to select your rental period. Click on the shopping cart icon at the top of the screen to edit your order.

2️⃣ Order online

Go to your shopping cart to complete your order. If your a first time customer, enter the required details. If your a returning customer, your details will be saved from last time. Once your order has been placed you will receive a confirmation email. 

3️⃣ Time to get busy

Your tools and machinery will be ready to pick up on the day. So come on down, grab your gear, and get to work.

  • If you have never operated an excavator before, then you are yet to discover how simple and easy to use they really are. they make small to medium projects a breeze, and will save you time and energy. 

    When you hire a mini excavator for LAC Hire, the friendly staff can run you through all the controls, and give you a few tips on what you might need to look out for. Like most things though, there is no substitute for time on the job. In general, it takes an hour or so of operating time to start becoming comfortable and fluid with the controls. After this you will find yourself being more and more productive as your familiarity with the machine increases. 

  • Yes, you can extend the rental period if you require it for longer than initially planned. To do so, please contact us to discuss your needs and arrange for an extension. Keep in mind that availability may vary, so it's best to notify us about your extension needs as early as possible to secure the equipment. We're committed to accommodating your changing requirements.

  • None of the equipment we offer requires licensing to use. However it is recommended that a you have basic operating knowledge of the equipment to be hired. If you have no experience, our team can brief you on what you will need to know.

    Some building sites and commercial areas do require specific licensing or endorsements  in order to be use certain tools or machinery within the confines of the site. If you are in doubt, contact the landowner or site manager to see what is required for that area
